At UDF, we are always striving to bring the very best training and education to our dancers—and we are excited to share some BIG news about our Acro program!
Acrobatic Arts is one of the industry’s leading AcroDance training programs, providing dance educators with comprehensive certification to safely and effectively teach acro technique. Their curriculum covers everything from anatomy and technique to progressions, lesson planning, choreography, and skill development—ensuring dancers build strength, flexibility, and technique the right way.
So... what exactly is AcroDance?
AcroDance, or simply “Acro,” is the incredible fusion of classical dance technique and the strength, precision, and athleticism of acrobatic movement. It combines beautiful lines, flexibility, musicality, and emotional expression with dynamic acrobatic elements to create a powerful and exciting performance style.
With roots in traditional Chinese dance and a rich history on the Vaudeville stage, Acro has grown tremendously in popularity over the years—especially through the influence of productions like Cirque du Soleil and television shows like So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew, and Dance Moms.
Acro is one of the most challenging dance styles to master because it requires training in both dance and acrobatic technique. Dancers develop skills in:

- ✨ Flexibility
- ✨ Strength
- ✨ Control

🎉 Congratulations, Miss Angela!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Miss Angela for recently completing the extensive certification process for Module 1 through Acrobatic Arts!
This certification covers Levels 1–6 and required:
- ✔ Comprehensive book work
- ✔ Online skill demonstrations
- ✔ Written testing
We are thrilled for her to take the lead in growing and strengthening our Acro program at UDF. Her dedication to continuing education and excellence means our dancers will receive top-level training in a safe, progressive, and technically strong environment.
We are confident she will help develop some of the strongest acrobats in all of Brevard County! 💙
